Yuri Broze

Conducting Experience

From 2003-2006 I served as Music Director for the UNC-Achordants All-Male A Cappella group at the University of North Carolina. During my tenure, the group grew from seven to sixteen members, nearly quadrupled concert attendance, became Divisional and Regional champions of the ICCAs (Spring 2005), and advanced to compete at the International Championship in Alice Tulley Hall, in New York City. During 2007 I was Music Director for the Medical School Student Choir at the University of Michigan, and have continued to offer services as a guest clinician to various vocal ensembles. I offer workshops in breathing, vocalization, diction, dynamics, vocal percussion, arranging, and stage performance.

Arrangements

I offer a custom arranging service with my brother. During our time spent as music directors of the University of North Carolina’s Achordants, and Washington University’s Stereotypes, we have accumulated six years of combined experience arranging for male choir and have won multiple awards from the divisional to the international levels of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella.
